Timah Tasoh Dam
Conventional method to calculate reservoir storage capacity using measuring tape and reading by certain time interval such as 5 minute or 10 minutes interval. Water level will be measure using measuring tape or read at the tide pole at certain interval time. By using this data, storage volume calculation will be manually calculated. Data observation will be record on log book and transfer into spreadsheet table.

Continuous Real Time Reservoir Storage Monitoring
Automatic Veleport Tide Guage
Interface for Real Time Reservoir Monitoring System using ReTISRO v.1.1.3
AIM
To get real time data in reservoir storage capacity
OBJECTIVES
- To document the use of advanced instrument technology
- To document data processing technique
- To estimate real time reservoir storage capacity
SIGNIFICANT OF SYSTEM
- Real time data in terms of water level and volumes can be access directly at any time
- Displays real time elevation storage curve
- A continuous data displaying and recording can be performed
- The historic recorded data can be useful for analysis for future planning of distributing and managing water resources
- Pre-determine solutions during water crisis can be prepared
- Alarm system can be developed in the system with critical 1, critical 2 and critical 3 stages
- Yearly dam level drops (if applicable) can be analyzed with this continuous data capture, thus statistical analysis can be done.
